Breeder and Studbook rankings

Only members of the WBFSH figure as breeds/studbooks counting in the studbook rankings. This means that if an umbrella organization of a given country is the member of WBFSH, the abbreviation of this organization is the one given as breed to the FEI.

NB: The WBFSH rankings are published online around the 8th of each month from April to October.

Please note that in these rankings, only studbook is updated within the FEI, because this has the largest influence at the (studbook) rankings.

The correction of breeder and pedigree information is still worked on and will hopefully be ready before next rankings.

These kinds of delays are the consequence when a lot of information is not delivered correctly (wrong UELN format, wrong sire names etc. etc.).

If an organization wants to have all or some of its underlying member studbooks to be counting individually in the rankings, visible as studbooks/breeds in the rankings, starting lists, etc., then each studbook has to apply for WBFSH membership separately.

The WBFSH rankings are managed by WBFSH general manager Nadine Brandtner.

The monthly rankings are published from April to October for the Breeder and Studbooks Rankings. At the end of the cycle the Breeder of the Year is honoured during the Longines-WBFSH Breeder Awards. The winning studbooks are honoured during the WBFSH General Assembly every year.

The Sire Rankings are published once a year for the leading sires in dressage, show jumping and eventing.
