The VTV Insurance Group, represented by Heiko Meinen, traditionally select the Oldenburg Stallion of the Year in the categories show jumping and dressage. This special honor is awarded to Oldenburg stallions, who have performed particularly well in sport and breeding the past year.

Lord Pezi Junior, born 2009, by Lord Pezi out of Aquinora by Quattro B, bred by Werner Meyer from Ermke and owned by Böckmann Pferde GmbH in Lastrup, may now call himself Oldenburg VTV Stallion of the Year 2016.

Lord Pezi Junior paraded at the 2009 Elite Foal Auction in Vechta. In 2011 he was not only licensed at the OS Licensing but also awarded a premium. Lord Pezi Junior then successfully passed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. Due to his outstanding first crop of foals, the heir of the Ladykiller xx stallion line was awarded the I-b main premium in a ceremony at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta during the 2013 Oldenburg Licensing.

Ever since the stallion was four years old, Hartwig Rohde has been responsible for successfully schooling the youngster stationed at the Böckmann stables. The two of them placed in many tests for young show jumpers from 1.00 to 1.30 meter, depending on age, and this year they achieved their first international victories in classes starting at 1.35 meter.

Among Oldenburg’s dressage stallions, Sir Heinrich OLD, born 2008, by Sir Donnerhall I out of C'est Bon by Fürst Heinrich - Rubinstein I, bred by Paul Wendeln from Garrel and owned by the North Rhine Westphalian State Stud, was crowned Oldenburg VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year 2016 at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta.

Ridden by Anja Willimzig, Sir Heinrich OLD took a Bundeschampion title in the class for six-year old dressage horses. The couple had previously taken the Vice Bundeschampion title in the class for five as well as four-year old dressage horses. The stallion has meanwhile won fourth level dressage tests.

Sir Heinrich OLD has two very successful sisters, Cindy OLD and Candy OLD. All three are, of course, by Sir Donnerhall I - Fürst Heinrich - Rubinstein I and from the exceedingly successful Cinderella mare line. This year, in Rastede’s Schlosspark, Candy OLD not only took the Champion Mare title but also the State Champion title in the class for riding horses. Her sister Cindy OLD took a Bundeschampion title in 2013 in the class for four-year old riding horses and was the 2012 Reserve Champion Mare in Rastede’s Brillantring.
