The General Assembly 2015 in Vienna

On Tuesday 20 October the WBFSH's General Assembly 2015 was held in Vienna

Tuesday's programme at the WBFSH General Assembly included a presentation on Austrian horse breeding and the visit to the beautiful and historical Spanish Riding School of Vienna watching the morning training and visiting Lipizzan stallions in the stables.

In the General Assembly the meeting participants were given presentations on Young Breeders by Celia Clark, a report from the EAAP by Kathrin Stock and a presentation on Horse Welfare by Roly Owers.

Jan-Paul Steenbergen from Pepper Consulting presented the result of an analysis including a number of proposals of changes to improve the structure of our organisation.

President Jan Pedersen presented the WBFSH's partnership with Rolex as the new sponsor mediated by Xavier Libbrecth. The studbook and breeder rankings are now named the WBFSH/Rolex World Rankings.

The Annual Plan 2016 was agreed upon. Rik van Mierts and Rudi Eerdekerk presented the expenditures and the budget which was equally approved by the assembly. 

Allison Corbally presented three new applicants to become member studbooks of the WBFSH. Two new studbooks have obtained full membership.

Canadian Chris Gould was elected as new member of the Board, and Thomas Nissen was re-elected for the Board.
