Due to the exceptional weather conditions, and after having studied all the possible alternative solutions preserving the horses, riders and public security, no satisfying solution could be found. Consequently, and in accordance with the FEI officials, the organisors regret to announce the cancellation of the 2012 Mondial.

This was the very sad news which were announced at Lion d'Angers this afternoon. The L'Isle-Briand park where the championships take place is literally flooded and it would have been a major risk to see the competitions through. Nevertheless, it is a great disappoint for the riders, owners, grooms, breeders, spectators and the press to see more than 100 top trained horses returning home. The horses have been trained for this major event during the past year and many have travelled long distances to make it to Lion d'Angers, but at least all horses and riders can return home safely.
