National BWP Champion Mares

With 149 horses, the BWP studbook welcomed a lot of mares at the National Mare Championship on Sunday 31st October. The number did not affect the quality, on the contrary, the jury was extremely pleased with the mares they had to judge.

Ebonita van't Eigenlo Day Champion

Breeder Roger Van de Vijver had two mares in the battle for the Youth Championship and it was his Hertogin Odeveld (Obourg) who received the title of youth champion. Another set of winners came against each other in the Daychampionship. There the title went to Ebonita van't Eigenlo (Diamant de Semilly) from Alex Cnockaert.

For the first time also at national level jumping and dressage mares were judged separately. By the young horses Hermosa van ’t Amaryllishof (Romanov) of Guido Appermont became BWP Youth Champion Dressage. By the older horses, it was another daughter of Romanov who took the victory. Roma Krack van het Klaverhof of Peter Van Rompaey and Nicole Vercalsteren became Day Champion Dressage.
