79 three-year-old mare were presented at the Holsteiner mare show held at the trot race course in Elmshorn. The judges of the premium ring Dr. Thomas Nissen, Heino Kracht and Christian Thoroe pointed out a mare form Nordfriesland to be decorated with the title Holsteiner Mare of the Year 2010. Zisterne by Cormint x Athlet Z x Liguster (dam line 504) bred and owned by Johann Peter Lass, Leck.

- Zisterne is an absolutely outstanding mare, commented head of breeding in Holstein Dr. Thomas Nissen after the show. Ich cannot recall that we have seen such a good mare within the past 25 years.

Runner-up was Ziave by Canturo x Coriano x Rebel Z (dam line 569) bred by Hans-Joachim Ahsbahs, Bokel, and owned by Deike and Hans-Joachim Ahsbahs, Bokel. As second runner-up the judges chose Zamia by Aljano x Dream of Glory x Heraldik xx (dam line 223B) bred by Hans-Peter Petersen, Tating, and owned by Martin Heim, Busdorf.

Appointed as best moving mare at the mare show in Elmshorn was Zanett by Canturo x Corofino I x Landgraf I (dam line 223B) bred and owned by Günther Fielmann, Schierensee. Her dam Nanett was Holsteiner champion mare in 2001.
