Nineteen Youngster Ready to get Tested

2010-03-15

A total of 19 colts were enrolled Monday morning 15 March for the 10 days testing at Vilhelmsborg where the young stallions will be tested for their behaviour and manners before their approval for breeding become effective.

The colts that have all been approved at the Dansk Varmblod Stallion Licensing in Herning over the weekend were all shown in hand on hard ground before the judges, a veterinarian and the head of the stallion testing Bjarne Mark, and thereafter, they were shown under the saddle by their own rider.

During the 10 days of testing the colts will be trained lightly in order for the head of testing Bjarne Mark to get an impression of the colts' rideability and their will to cooperate. If the colts pass their test by 24 March they are ready to serve the mares.
