Five New Elite Stallions

The Danish Warmblood society has proclaimed Aston, Blue Hors Don Romantic, Blue Hors Romanov, Lambrusco Ask and Weltjunge Elite Stallions.

Aston is a 1995 born Danish Warmblod by A'Khan Z / Nimmerdor / Matador. The late Aston made his way to international showjumping before his early passing. Meanwhile he sired 203 offspring in Denmark and , and 57% of his 49 daughters have been graded into the main studbook. Aston holds the fifth highest jumping index in Denmark (150/0.94) and has two offspring placed in international youngster classes, six offspring qualified for the Danish young horse championship finals, one international jumper and several jumping nationally at highest level.

Blue Hors Don Romantic is a 10-year old Danish bred stallion by Don Schufro / Romancier / Mago xx. He started out as Foal of the Year in 1999 and became the elite auction price highligt. Don Romantic then became licensing champion, won the 70-day performance test in 2002 and was awarded gold medal at the age of four (as only the second stallion in history). He then won the 4-year-old Danish Young Horse Championships and won the 5-year-old qualifiers but got injured and has been struggling to make a come back to the show ring. He has 101 tested mares of which 11 were awarded a meda (3 gold). He has six licensed sons. Six of his offspring qualified for the 2009 Young Horse Championships.

Blue Hors Romanov is a 9-year old Oldenburg branded and licensed stallion by Rohdiamant / Grundstein II / Akzent II. Bred by Harli Seifert he was an Oldenburg premium stallion when purchased by Blue Hors Dressage. He competed up to Grand Prix level with Andreas Helgstrand and Sune Hansen. He has produced 14 medal winning mares in Denmark and 3 approved sons, including the premium stallion Blue Hors Rosoff. His son Hønnerups Driver (dam sire: Don Schufro) won the 2009 World Championships for 5-year old Dressage Horses and his licensed son Skovens Rafael (dam sire: Don Schufro) finished seventh.

Lambrusco Ask is a 12-year-old Oldenburg by Landor S / Contender / Furioso II. Lambrusco Ask is bred by Gerd Sosath in Germany and imported to Denmark by Stutteri Ask where he still stands at stud. Lambrusco has 152 registered offspring in Denmark of which 55% of his daughters are graded into the main studbook and 3 got breeders' medals. He has also sires two licensed sons. Lambrusco himself has jumped at international level and currently holds the second highest jumping breed index in Denmark which is 155 (0.88). Several of his offspring have been highly placed at the young horse championships and now compete at highest level.

Weltjunge is a 1997 born Hanoverian chestnut stallion by Weltmeyer / Matcho X / Pik König. In 2000 he became a Danish warmblood premium stallion and is now registered with 387 offspring of which many mares are medal winners in breed shows. Weltjunge has been successfully competed up to Intermediaire.
