Westpoint World Champion

09-08-2009

The Netherlands captured the gold in the world championship final for six-year-old dressage horses. Emmelie Scholtens rode the KWPN-approved Westpoint to claim the world champion title after winning the first qualification round. The judges were especially impressed by Westpoint's swinging canter, which they awarded a 9.5.
Germany took home the silver and bronze medals. Placing second was Florinero ridden by Dorothee Schneider and the Trakehner stallion Imperio ridden by Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn placed third.
