Two new members
Following the recent Joint meeting with the Board and the Executive Committee in Elmshorn in March 2009, 2 new sport horse studbooks have been granted membership of the WBFSH; Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International and The Studbook for Slovenian Warmblood Horses. We welcome them dearly, and hope that they too will submit their breeding news and most important calendar items to our press responsible on – thereby making the member studbooks and associates of WBFSH even more visible to the sport horse breeding world. With a total number of 64 members and 3 associates the focus on our common goal – to breed better sport horses – is increased world wide.

General Assembly 2009
As you may already know, on 3rd – 5th November 2009 the annual meetings of WBFSH are held in Scandinavia; Most of the meetings will be at the Royal Admiral Hotel at the seaside in Copenhagen, Denmark, and a practical part of the seminars are placed at Flyinge, the National stud of Sweden, just one hour’s driving from Copenhagen. Host of this year’s annual meetings is Scandinavian Warmblood. Please visit for more information during the summer and autumn regarding the meetings, the tours and the surroundings. is a new website under construction that will only function for this particular event.
The overall theme for the seminar sessions in November is “Breeding for an improved health and longevity in horses”.
