Danish Young Horse Dressage Champions

The finale for 4, 5 and 6 year old dressage horses in Denmark has been taking place in Odense on the first few days of the JBK Horse Show also hosting the World Cup qualifier.
The finale for 4 year olds has shown the highest quality in young horse dressage championships ever said the judges. New champion is the licensed stallion Skovens Rafael (DWB) by Blue Hors Romanov / Blue Hors Don Schufro, second the licensed stallion Blue Hors Develino (DWB) by Blue Hors Don Romantic / Waldsohn, third the licensed stallion Blue Hors Zack (KWPN) by Rousseau / Jazz.
Seven of the ten finalists had Blue Hors Don Schufro as sire or grand sire. Pictured right is the new 4 year old champion Skovens Rafael ridden by Lotte Skjærbæk.
Thursday was the last working day ever for Andreas Helgstrand with Blue Hors Dressage. Not only did he place third in the 4 yr old finale and second in the 6 yr old, but aboard the licensed stallion Blue Hors Hotline (HANN) by Hofrat / De Niro Andreas Helgstrand won the 5 yr old finale. Hotline (pictured left) achieved 3 x 9,5 for walk, trot and capacity!
Gørklintgårds Dublet (DWB) by Diamond Hit / Ferro came second ridden by his owner, amateur rider Anette Ejlersgaard. Placed third was the mare Qui by Quite Easy / Ladoga (DWB) succesfully ridden by Dorthe S. Hoeck who has tremendous succes riding young horses at both national and international leve. In the finale for 4 year olds she came fourth with a lovely black mare by Don Schufro.
Silver medalist at the WBFSH world championships in Verden 2008 Polka Hit Nexen was aldready Danish young horse champion in 2007 and re-claimed the title this year at the age of 6, beautifully presented by her steady rider Dorthe S. Hoeck. Polka Hit Nexen (DWB) by Sandro Hit / Temple Wind xx is an extremely elegant and light footed dressage horse with very supple gaits and outstanding rideability.
The expressive and eye-catching licensed stallion Blue Hors Rush Hour (OLDB) by Rubin Royal / Strohmann xx came second with Andreas Helgstrand and N.O.H.'s Wizard, who came fourth at the WBFSH world championships in Verden 2008, came third with owner Astrid Gemal.
