Swedish Victory at Scandinavian Open

Falsterbo Horse Show in the south of Sweden plays host to the Scandinavian Open which is a young horse championship open to Scandinavian riders.

In the final for 5 year old dressage horses the Swedish bred stallion Scharmeur was unbeatable. Ridden by Malin Rinné the extravagant mover pulled out all his charm and put down a solid performance scoring 73,704%.

Scharmeur was decorated by two Swedish team riders commenting the class with the label "Future Grand Prix Horse".

Runner-up was the Danish Warmblood mare Dybdalgaards Marguerit by Carano and ridden by Michael Søgaard. With a score of 72,963% the mare danced through her test but could not keep up with the Swedish stallion.

Wladimir O. A. by Flemming placed third presented by the Swedish rider Pernilla André Hokfelt.

Many of the top placed horses in the final will also be competing at the world championships in Aachen later this month.
