The most successful breeder

A highlight of the Danish Stalion Show in Herning was the Saturday night gala during which Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte was awarded Dansk Varmblod’s Gold Medal of Honour. In his presentation speech to Her Royal Highness in front of 6000 people, Jan Pedersen, Chairman of Dansk Varmblod, said:

“Princess Benedikte is the most successful breeder in our association. Two of the six Danish Warmblood horses that formed the basis for Denmark’s fourth place in the world ranking, Rigoletto and Digby, were bred at the castle of Berleburg, the private home of the royal family. This is an outstanding result.”

The whole family is behind this success and, therefore, Dansk Varmblod took special honour in also awarding the Gold Medal to Prince Richard for his great support and to Princess Nathalie for the achievement of training three home-bred horses to international Grand Prix level.

The three horses are :

Rigoletto born in 1996 by Rubinstein out of Rosienne by Rossi XX.

Digby born in 1997 by Donnerhall and out of Pamina by Sandro

Mastermind born in 1999 by Master and out of Pamina by Sandro
