After already winning the individual Silver Medal at the FEI World Championships for 5yr old Dressage Horses, the bay Trakehner stallion Imperio (by Connery – Balfour xx) now took home the Gold at Germany’s prestigious Bundeschampionat for 5yr old Dressage Horses.

The stallion, which was Reserve Champion of the Trakehner Approvals in 2005, was ridden by Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn and scored the only flat 10.0 for the trot given at this competition. His other scores included an 8.0 for the walk, 9.0 for both canter and submission and a 9.5 overall.

Owned in partnership by the German Trakehner Stud Hörem and the Bavarian State Stud Schwaiganger, Imperio finished on a total of 9.1.

Second place in this class was won by Rock Forever, a Westfalian stallion by Rockwell x Landstreicher under Oliver Oelrich, who scored 8.8 in total. The third place went to the Westfalian gelding Wyllow L (by Wolkentanz II x Don Primero) and his rider Insa Hansen. They scored 8.6.
