Van Grunsven Wins Ninth World Cup Finals

Before a crowd of 11,000 spectators, Anky van Grunven won the 23rd World Cup Finals and claimed her ninth World Cup victory with a confident ride aboard her Hanoverian gelding Salinero (Salieri x Lungau). She won her fourth World Cup astride 14 year old Salinero.

The runner up in the Brabanthallen in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, was the defending World Cup champion Isabell Werth riding her 12 year old Hanoverian gelding Warum Nicht (Weltmeyer x Wenzel I). On third place came Finnish rider Kyra Kyrklund with her Swedish mount Max (Master x Alpenfürst) which a 13 year old gelding.

There were 15 horses in the final out of which four were Hanoverian branded, three Swedish Warmblod, three Dutch Warmblood and two Danish Warmblood.
