The World Championships in Ermelo has kicked off

The FEI/WBFSH World Championships for young dressage horses aged 5, 6 and 7 are taking place in Ermelo, the Netherlands for the first time and have started this morning with the 5-year-olds


Wednesday evening the riders were allowed to practise in the main arena.

"Never change a winning team" they say. The German town of Verden and the FEI/WBFSH World Championships for young dressage horses have been a very successful constellation for a number of years. Hence, it is no easy task to take over the conduction of these championships, but everyone at the Dutch National Equestrian Centre in Ermelo is very pleased with the new surroundings of the championships. Riders, trainers, breeders, judges and the audience all seem impressed with the facilities in Ermelo, and the competition has kicked off this morning with the qualifaction class for 5-year-olds which runs from 9 am until 5.10 pm.

 

Today at 1.30 pm is a show class for 4-year-old stallions.
