It became clear that the fatigue had hit some of the medal candidates in the show jumping for 7-year-olds this afternoon, and the fourth placed Frenchman after yesterdays' cross-country, Astier Nicloas was able to please and excite the crowd with his clear round aboard the Anglo Arabe gelding by Yarlands Summer Song x Prince Ig'Or (bred by Marie Christine De Laurières, France) to claim the gold medal and the championship title.

34-year-old Brit Izzy Taylor who won gold in 6-year-olds final earlier today produced another beautiful round on the show jumping arena with the ISH gelding Direct Cassino by Cassino x Ceredigion (bred in Ireland) and advanced from 9th to 2nd place taking home silver in the 7-year-olds.

Third place and bronze went to one of the most experienced riders in the sport, 56-year-old Andrew Nicholson from New Zealand and Yacabo BK by Lacros x Histeo (bred by Pedro Beca, Spain). After a clear round and staying on 47.7 penalties this pair advanced from 10th place to be in the medals.

Vitali and James Avery from New Zeland who was in the lead after dressage and cross-country landed sixth place today due to a couple of rails down in the show jumping.
