Mr. Andries van Daalen from the KWPN management board surprised Miny and Jan Streppel with his visit at their cattle farm in Gelderland, the Netherlands, to announce that they are the holders of the titel 2020 KWPN Breeder of the Year. It was an emotional Jan Streppel who claimed that he also owes the titel to his co-owners and the breeders of his mares.

Jan Streppel has based his breeding of dressage horses on two mares that are full-sisters of Adelinde Cornelissen's Olympic mount Parzival by Jazz x Ferro. The two mares are called Orleans and Toulouse. Orleans, born in 1996, is the dam of the Grand Prix horse and winner of 12 medals at the European championships for young riders and U25 riders, TC Athene by United, as well as the renowned stallion Governor by Totilas which has won two silver medals at the FEI/WBFSH world breeding championships. Both of these top horses are bred by Jan Streppel.
