With the aim of finding the best young sport horses of national breeds, the show jumping championship will be held in three age groups – five, six and seven year old horses will compete in an event called “Future Cup 2019 Show Jumping”, with classes ranging from 1m to 1.40m.

Representative of the championship organisers (General Director of the Latvian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association) Ajia Luse said, “We hope that the event can be developed further and will grow into a common event for all three Baltic countries”.

The championship provides an opportunity to show and promote the Baltic sport horse breeds - Latvian warmblood horse, Estonian sport horse, Baltic Hanoverian and Lithuanian riding horse on a national and international level, promoting the name of the breed worldwide.

The end of August – a few weeks before the World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Zangersheide, Belgium – is the best time for such championship.

The Baltic Young Horse Show Jumping championship “Future Stars 2019” is organised by the Latvian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association, within the framework of the show jumping competition “Future Cup 2019 Show Jumping”, held by the riding centre Lielceri, which allows for efficient planning of the event and using the modern infrastructure and the perfect location of the venue – in the middle of all three Baltic countries.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Latvia. Follow information on:
